The other day we had a Solaris 10 server turn off because the power was cut. As a result unfortunately, I couldn’t net boot or anything and the failsafe didn’t have the CPQary3 driver for the hard drive and just cleared the boot archive in the regular multiuser mode. Then this happened:
/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s3 9.7G -8.0Z -8.0Z 51% /var
So the fix was basically to do a reconfigure reboot which fixed all the problems with clearing the boot archive.
