Last week I got to check out an online conference using the website. The first problem that I ran into was that I needed to have a Windows box or a Mac! From what I could see, it looks like it just runs java so I don’t see why it wouldn’t have just worked on my linux box. I’m sure I could have to use the FireFox extension to pretend that I’m a Windows machine, but I didn’t want to have to hack around it.

Aside from that, the software ran pretty smoothly and the audio was pretty good. I wasn’t using a great microphone so I just muted it listened instead and used the integrated chat. The host gave a slide show presentation and it went pretty smoothly until I lost my internet connectivity.

Connection was pretty painless and I simply removed the gotomeeting program after I was done with the conference.
